Anyone know of a weather addon that will allow you to display weather from a zip code in a custom field?

Hi Deron, hey not a techincal answer just another lead.
Check out NOAA for feeds here http://www.weather.gov/xml/
They can be pulled in and picked apart, if you have xml knowledge.
Otherwise, magpie should work for these too.
And it’s your tax dollars hard at work. 😊

I’ve seen it in a very condensed version to show:
    Sky: fair cloudy etc
A mini-picture icon for the condition
Then the temperature and wind conditions.
Very condensed taking about:150 x 65px of screen space.

Yeah, there is a lot of feeds there. I could be overlooking it, but I don’t see anything that could be used to display the current weather plus a two/three day forecast by zip code?

If you plug a zip code into the form field there upper left it brings up a 5 day outlooks and all kinds of stuff. I’m sure it would require being able to pick apart the xml by knowing the feed structure, maybe an xslt sheet to display what you want. It’s out of my leaugue, you might google a tutorial.
Sorry, like I said it’s a lead, it stands up to pretty heavy usage.

Hi these feeds recently turned up as well, very nice
Serious real feed real place :
    ·      AccuWeather: More Truth or consequences or how is it now - feed (I think I can use this for the homepage).

    ·      Weather.com: Truth or Consequences weather feed (this one could be used in the weather page).
The weather.com feed has some added goodie info.

Yeah I’ve tried the accuweather before. I think I like it the best actually.
