Is there a way to provide a blog for each member that signs up? To the effect that they both receive their own public profile page and a blog to go along with it.

What you are describing is a hosted blogging service, and is against the terms of service.

Well the blog really isn’t the point of the site as we’re not offering a sign up for a blog deal. It’s really just more of an extra.
