    I need some software that can:

    (1) Crawl through a website and identify all used and/or linked files;
    (2) Crawl through (specified directories on) the server using SFTP and identify all files;
    (3) Compare the two lists and identify unused files accordingly, possibly with filtering (for excluding, say, .htaccess files).

    There are a few options that can do most of that, but they all use FTP. What I can’t find is a solution that can do it using SFTP. Does anybody know of a program that can do what I’m after?

    Oops, I thought I mentioned that. I must’ve edited it out on accident.

    It’s for Windows, but I’ll take Mac suggestions too.

    So you are looking for a site map generator and then a way to identify or remove all files NOT on that list?

    You have shell access to your website?

    It’s more than a sitemap. It’s a list of all files—images, css, js, and so on.

    And no, no shell access. It needs to be done via SFTP.
