I am curious to know why the server must be located in UK. Ironically we had a dedicated server located in London and was forced to change because of unreliable uptime.

If you would like a free (6 month) trial on our States based server then let me know.

My test site is currently hosted on our site and the other site is with http://powweb.com

Why might you have to be in the UK ?

The lovely DPA which states you cant put data outside the EU. This is why I pay the extra pennies for S3 backups and also that I run my sites on Dreamhost but CRM on a UK server.

    Its great!

I’m looking for a UK based host that’ll do me a dedicated server with similar specs to the 1and1 business server II that has php 5.2 as standard and plesk.

    That would be nice.

Hosting in the UK is rubbish unless you want to spend millions of pounds.

I’ve got so sick and tired of the quality of hosting companies in the UK i’m looking at co-location now which i didn’t really want to do.

    Poor old me.

Really? I could only see semi dedicated servers on your site. I want a dedicated server. No virtualisation no sharing, just me. Is this what you’re offering?

    Hi there,
thanks for the offers - @WackyWeb - think thats not too bad, did feel free to put your site on mon.itor.us for few days to decide any further steps.

Are there also any “user” recommended UK based services?

    Greetings,
    Christoph
