There is no harm in having admin.php in any of those directories. I keep it there for other reasons.

I’ll go with the admin.php solution, as it seems to be working. Perhaps everything will work itself out once I get a domain hooked up to that account.

Glad you’ve got a working solution for now. I swear I’ve done it w/an IP on the main site- but I could be remembering wrong. Will poke a bit more just to try to figure out why it happens like this.

The real issue may be that the change in the $conf[‘cp_url’] setting in the config.php.
