We’re giving away 5 copies of Michael Boyink’s Building an ExpressionEngine Site. Post a note to the Discussion thread for this video entry by 5pm Central Time Friday, February 8, to enter. In your post let us know you if you want a printed copy or a PDF copy. Mike will randomly select the winners over the weekend and we’ll announce them on Monday.

If you already know EE enter anyway and give your copy to a friend in need (you know who they are).

Update: Mike clarifies the difference between the book and the free blog posts.

    Hi Leslie,

Sounds like a fantastic book and I must say a very big well done to Michael for making it in the first place. He is a great help to a great many number of people around here so well done Michael.

Anyway I just wanted to congratulate Michael and say you don’t have to put my name into the draw if you don’t want to. If you do and I do get it though I will definitely send it on to someone else. I don’t know of anyone in need as I don’t want to make out that my friends are needy 😉 but if I do get one then I will gladly offer it up to whoever wants it.

Anyway all that is unimportant as I may not even get added to the list as I did say that you didn’t have to! 😊

I will shut up now and let everyone else get on with posting in here as I have already taken up way too many bits writing this blurb!

Again a massive congratulations on the book Michael. I really do hope that it sells well for you. It should do as judging by the amount of people asking on the forums for tutorials about EE then you should become very rich very quick!! 😊

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Yes I would love the book.  I am so new to expressionengine that I freeze just trying to start.  This book would be a great help in getting my feet wet.  Being over 50 these days means this stuff is just not second nature.  I read the site every day but just got my brand new iMac yesterday so I could begin learning.  I was stuck on a G3 with 10.3 and all the new software I was wanting to learn with had passed me by.  To be one of the lucky winners would really give me a boost to as I struggle to build my site from ground zero.

    fingers crossed

I’ve been following EE from afar for a while and have been dying to give myself an excuse to use it. With the right book and motivation, I’ll be all set. PDF, please!

About to launch my first substantial EE site here in in Scotland. Had been following the tutorials online and pdf until diverted by looming deadlines. Would love paper copy to read thoroughly on my journey to work!

I’m not new to EE, but I have colleagues that are, and have A LOT of the basics left to learn myself. So, I’d love to have a copy. I prefer print.

Thanks for the generous contest! Looks like great work Michael.
