I have decided to release a project I have been working on for a while. Last year I spent some time browsing through photoblogs and noting the features I thought worked well. The project is titled Webdelish.

Have a read of my blog post first to understand what’s going on.

I would really love some feedback on features so I can wrap this up and make it available for people.

    thanks for listening

    Hi vinnyio,

Looks great and I’m sure will help a lot of people out so well done on that. Get ready for all the support questions on this one though!! 😉

Just one thing I thought of though is when you click on one of the thumbnails on the bottom ajax strip it might be nice if the strip then updated to show that image as the first image in the row just so that people who have hundreds of images don’t then have to click back through the slider again to find where they just came from? Just an idea though.

I am thinking of doing something similar along these lines when I have finished the site that I am working on at the moment. It will be in a different vain to yours though so don’t worry about any competition!! 😊

Mine is going to be more about hooking up a weblog acting as a gallery and selling images online and how to do protected downloads and the like.

I’m sure you will get loads of people interested in this though just judging by the amount of people on these forums asking for help with this kind of item. I’m currently helping out in a few threads and PMs with people to get their galleries working the way they would like them to.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

The site looks great, I’m looking forward to the template/theme. I’ve been procrastinating on developing something with some of the same functionality, to showcase some of our work projects. I love the slideshow approach to scanning a category, with a dominant top image. Of course, my goal is to also display project details to the side or bottom of the main image.

But this makes me want to revisit my current image galleries, on my personal website. They could stand the added ‘showcasing’. Your layout really makes the images pop.

It had occurred to me as I started to add more images and I intend to tackle it

Very nice. Very, very nice. I got to say, I even love the font you used for that. Fantastic.
