I’m thinking about purchasing the MSM and am just wondering about potential issues down the track.

Given that I have an MSM set up with a number of sites - how easy would it be to move one (or more) of those sites away to a separate EE install should the need arise? Also, what would that process entail?

BridgingUnit, there isn’t a method of breaking apart a MSM site to a stand alone EE site. You could export your entries by making your own MT export file, and exporting your templates.

Thanks for the reply Sue. There perhaps ought to be I think. If the idea is to host more than one site off the same install (given that they belong to the same business), then what happens if, say, you sell one of the sites? It sounds like it will be difficult to extricate, separate and handover to someone else, and licensing prevents you from running sites from more than one business off the same install.

    a feature request I think…
