No-Cost Alternatives to Sitemap Module?

I would love to be able to buy the Sitemap Module for use on my site, but I just can’t justify spending the $40. I just don’t have much confidence that I’m going to get that significant a return on my investment. It looks great, but the price is too steep for me.

Does anyone know of any no-cost alternatives? I want to experiment with whether or not having a Sitemap will drive more traffic to the site without plunking down any cash.

Thanks, Lisa. I’ll come back to this. I’m so fed up with my site right now that I can’t even look at it. I feel like I’ve wasted my whole damn afternoon off on this and I’m not even sure why.

Just make sure you’re not missing any commas or semi-colons. (This is meant as a joke, though I’ve done this far too many times).

And take a deep breath.  Sometimes, walking away and coming back a few hours later is the way to fix things. =)

    Chris,

There are many XML sitemap generators out there that scan your site and create the XML file for free. I use XML-Sitemaps. It is limited to 500 pages, but it is a great way to create your first site map.
