I’m building a website with multiple pre-paid subscription types: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.

Based on what I can find, EE doesn’t allow an administrator to define expiration dates for these types of membership groups. For instance, after a month with their account, those subscribed to a 1 month plan will automatically not be allowed to access certain areas of the website until they pay again.

I’ve located only one other forum topic on this question, but it is almost two years old. Does the current EE version, 1.6.1, offer this type of functionality or do I still need to resort to aMember?

    thanks

You can use the Purge Data utility, but there’s not an automated way.  You’d have to write a custom add-on to automate it.

    Lisa,

Are you referring to the Data Pruning > Membership Account Pruning utility? If yes, appears we’ll not be able to see who is being deleted before their account is trashed. That’s a scary proposition 😊

    thanks

    Lisa,

Thanks. Based on the utility available, I believe I’ll have to go with aMember or build a custom add-on.
