    Hello everybody,

I’ve tried the CMS Matrix in order to help me choosing a CMS for the new website of transports of my town, and I have a few questions to ask to you because I’m not sure about the results it gives for EE:

    - is it true that the database replications are not possible?
    - the same question for the load balancing?
    - can EE produce static pages?

    Thank you. 😊

Greetings, Sev - welcome to the forums!

I am not sure in what regards CMS Matrix is discussing database replications.  No, there is no in-built feature for such a thing, but you also wouldn’t need it, really.

As for load balancing, EngineHosting itself offers ExpressionEngine in a fully load-balanced environment, so you can absolutely use load balancing.  You might search for “load balanc” (leave off the e to get load balancing and load balance) on these forums, as it comes up fairly often.  You’ll find the posts from Nevin Lyne incredibly informative.

You can use the Pages Module for your static page needs. =)

I’d recommend giving EE a shot - there are several options, check them out here!

    A couple clarifications.

    1. We do not support load balanced server configuration. EE runs just fine on load balanced servers but there is no built-in features that are load-balanced server specific and setup and maintenance of load balanced servers is beyond what we can provide technical support for. We assume anyone with access to a load balance server environment also has access to a server admin who is responsible for the servers.

    2. The Pages module is a great way to do “static” content but EE does not produce true, static .html files.
