Does anyone know about setting up a VNP server on a router?

I really want to be able to setup VPNs and am thus planning on buying a new router capable of serving VPNs. Google returned surprisingly little on the subject that would help me understand more about what the big issues are for a user when setting up a VPN.

Several reviews of D-Link routers capable of serving VNPs suggested that setting it up and making VPNs happen is actually not so straight forward for someone who hasn’t had some sort of professional guidance.

I have having trouble believing that it’s that hard. But has anyone here had any experience with setting up a router as a VPN server?

Update: Running Mac OS Server 10.5 on my mac mini. Works like a charm. Turning on VPN was a one click endeavor. 😊
