Oh man, that was truly funny, John!

As an NBA fan I love the sports reference, Biscuiterie, and thanks for the kind words.

    Congratulations you two!

The good thing about appointing people from the community is that they can directly apply their experience and ideas to the future direction of ExpressionEngine.

    Good moves!

PS. What is happening to their businesses now?

Wow, I guess 2008 will be known as “start of EllisLabs conquest for world-domination” to future generations…

    Congrats Kurt and Michael.

For my part, since the SysEval position is part time, Boyink Interactive will stay on so that I can fill the gap, continue to serve my current client base, and stay current in both web design and EE development.

I’m sure Kurt will chime in, but until he does here’s a letter posted on NetRaising about his transition.

EllisLab worked closely with Kurt for several months (longer actually) to make sure the transition could be as smooth as possible. We not only like Kurt, but we love NetRaising, what it stands for, how it operates, and we knew all along that hiring Kurt meant making sure NetRaising could continue as well.

...we knew all along that hiring Kurt meant making sure Netraising could continue as well.

I always pictured Netraising as like the Borg being run by a hive mind and Kurt simply being the Borg Queen.  So if my logic is correct (rarely is my logic correct,) will Kurt be absorbed into the Ellislab Borg or will Ellislab be absorbed into the Netraising Borg?  I suppose an alternative scenario is that the forces involved creates a rip in the space time continuum, destroying the universe in the process.  Wow, this is some heavy ****.

*consults list of things to do before universe explodes (just in case)*

Edit:  Perhaps he was able to escape the Borg.  I don’t know, Captain Picard did it but Kurt is no Captain Picard.  A great guy, but no Captain Picard.

I stopped by to say a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the EllisLab team ... and whoa!  I find that it has just increased. Kurt and Michael have been recruited to fine tune the “Experssion Engine.”  What great news!  I too have been re-thinking how I use EE thanks to Michael’s tutorials. I hope Michael, that you will consider pulling all those into a feature Book on “How to Use EE”, not just as a blog , but with case studies for Education, Business, and organizations , etc. It would be a best seller.  I look forward to seeing and benefiting from Kurt’s and Michael’s increased role at EE.  My Congratulations to both of you!.

Best wishes and happiness to all.
    .....cheers

Congratulations to both of the new hires and Ellislab.  Can’t argue with the choices.

Best wishes to both of you!

Congrats Kurt ad Michael. I think it will be great for ExpressionEngine to have to have an Evangelist. I know the FaceBook group is languishing a bit. Best wishes to both of you, and Merry Christmas EllisLab.

Nice try John, but it just won’t work. Even if you tell them what I’m up to they can’t escape the power of the nonoprobes.

Borg; (borgh) - A cybernetic hive-mind originating in the Trek subcluster, possessing the single-minded intent to “assimilate” other species into the collective (a process that involves use of nanoprobes to take over the victim’s mind and convert their body).
