    Hi Px,

    Will check that out now, thanks. Have been using MAMP for ages now ever since it more or less came out but have never really been one for all the configs and stuff so didn’t know you could do that.

    Thanks again though. Will read that now.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    You can buy “MAMP-Pro”  and it does all that kind of stuff for you, and more.

    Hi Mark,

    Was just wondering if you had any more thoughts on this at all?

    I tried this again on a live server and (without giving away the site URL) these are the results I got :

    Search URL

    <a href="http://www.example.com/search/for/cat/">http://www.example.com/search/for/cat/</a>

    Page re-directs to

    <a href="http://search/for/cat/?ACT=19">http://search/for/cat/?ACT=19</a>

    If however I type in :

    <a href="http://www.example.com/search/for/cat/?ACT=19">http://www.example.com/search/for/cat/?ACT=19</a>

    it all works as it should do!! 😊

    Any way of getting it to work so that I can just type in the easy URL though, the one without the ?ACT=19 appended to the end?

    Thanks again.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Aha,

    A bit more info for you! 😊

    Don’t know if this is good to do or not but I looked through the extension and kind of understand what it does.

    I saw this line :

    $url = '/'.$PREFS->core_ini['site_index'];

    I changed it to :

    $url = $PREFS->core_ini['site_index'];

    it now all works fine! Is there any reason why you have the slash there?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

    not sure if i am using this right or not but when i search for a term i get redirected to:

    http://http://www.search.com/for/accounts/?ACT=19

    I was under the impression this auto-searches your own site? Any ideas why i am ending up on search.com?

    Many thanks,
    James
