I just renewed my licence and tried downloading forum 2.0. However, when I extract the zip I get an ExpressionEngine1.6.2 folder with everything in it. What up?

I just downloaded a copy and don’t see that; I’ll send a heads up to the team to look into this though, thank you. =)

Thanks! Naturally I’m a bit spooked and want to be careful about uploading things :p

DEA, did you already have an ExpressionEngine1.6.1 folder in your download directory / desktop?  It sounds like it just incremented the number to avoid overwriting an existing file.

Yes, that’s exactly the situation. Haven’t seen that before though, the number is usually appended in parantheses or something. But that makes sense anyway. One question though then, it still appears like the whole EE install is in this folder, not just discussion forum files. Does that sound right?

Well, as for that, it sounds like you may have accidentally clicked the wrong download link. 😉
