I’m currently looking into a location near Amsterdam Central Station (walking distance). And I think we’ll start around 18:00 for drinks and a bite to eat. Joining in after dinner is possible too, of course.

How about Pakhuis de Zwijger? It ain’t exactly walking distance (5 mins with tram) but it is one of the best places I have been in A’dam

Sorry to respond so late, just got back from a week in Vienna :cheese:
Isn’t it more easy to start the meeting in the afternoon (let’s say.. 15.00?) and have it continue until after a possible dinner. After all, we might not all live in Amsterdam. Plus the fact that this will make it more easy to declare bills at work 😉

I’m fine with that too - more (EE) quality time with all of you 😊

Okay, we’re on! I made reservations in Pakhuis de Zwijger (free wifi!) at 16:30. I’ll be there around that time, and you’re welcome to join me whenever it suits you. I think we’ll start dinner around 19:00.
There will be other web geeks there, too, as a part of their Freelance Fridays, so lots of networking possibilities!
See you there and then!

You could try the “Victoria Hotel”, which is right in front of the station (about 100 metres) - I always go past it on my way into the city 😊
other than that, there’s an information service at the Airport (and Central Station) that you can utilize to find a suitable hotel.
Sorry I cant be of more assistance
[EDIT]
and of course the actual information you asked for:

Last time in ‘dam I stayed at the Swissotel which is just up the central street (can’t remember name) nearer the main square (about 200m in front of station). I can recommend, but then again i’ve not used any other hotels close by 😊

Cool, will this be the first “EEuro-meeting” of a new tradition? Let’s hope so!
