Can you be at a 3rd grade math level and still use Codeignitor?

Like just say you were at a 3rd grade mathematics level would that hinder your ability to work with this framework?

I am going to have say no you don’t need mathematics to use ci you just have to be a really good reader and problem solver.

This could be a new game show.  “Are you a smarter coder than a 3rd grader?”

Math skills are not all important for being a good coder.  I think you are fine with a high school education but anyone who has only gone through 3rd grade Math must be “special.”  😉

I agree that a particular proficiency in math is not very important for coding.  Logic and as you said, problem solving, are.  The skill sets overlap quite a bit with math, but few projects will require specific math knowledge beyond modulus.  Perhaps occasionally, conversion between bases 2, 8, 10, and 16.

Perhaps the better question would be, “Did you find your math courses difficult in school?”  I would think that those who found math relatively easy would have an easier time with programming than those who just couldn’t get it.  Perhaps even, “How did you like plane geometry?”

I have a friend who reckons that musicians make good logical programmers…
