Other than the sites in the ‘showcase’, are there any good examples of sites with wikis?

    Hi exmonkey,

Is this one any good for you?

Sorry but I don’t know of many other EE sites that use the WIKI. I know that a lot of people are starting to use it for documentation for their personal plug-ins, modules and extensions though. Perhaps they might chime in and help out here?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Well, I did see that one and yes it is fine - it’s just that the client wants reassurance that there are some commercial sites out there using the EE WIKI.

    Hiya,

Sorry wasn’t too aware of how much you knew this site. Ah I see the client wants some as examples? Not too sure where to find them I’m afraid. I am pretty certain though that someone on the forums here will be able to help out though as I’m sure I have seen their sites with WIKIs on them in the past but I just can’t bring any to mind at the moment I’m afraid.

Can anyone help out a fellow EE user here please folks? 😊

    Best wishes,

    Mark

We are a commercial site using EE Wiki.

The showcase is the best option, but hopefully some others will chime in here as well. =)

I’ve just installed a quick test on a site I’m putting together for another client - the look & feel doesn’t seem to be that configurable. Other than messing about with the CSS, is there no way of building templates for the wiki module? Also, does the forum module work in the same way - ie one tag.

The forum differs considerably from the wiki- it’s most like the member profile templates with regard to design.  And like the member profile templates, it doesn’t (typically) run inside a standard template.

As to theming the wiki- it depends a bit on what you want to do.  I know some folks wrap regular EE tags around the wiki tag and edit the files accordingly.  It’s a fast way to tie the look in with the rest of the site.

I’m using the wiki to create what I call my hoaxipedia (since my site is a Museum of Hoaxes). I’d love to find other people using the wiki module in order to get some ideas from them about things that can or can’t be done.
