I’m in the process of setting up a new site in EE. alot of our content consists of travel guides that have different about 10 “chapters”. I already created the “travel guides” weblog. so far so good.

Example chapters would be, for a travel guide of London: “introduction”, “getting there”, “places to eat in london”. there is alot of overlap: the example chapters could apply to any city or country in the world and for that reason i thought of creating predefined categories for each chapter which every author could just fill in.

however, chapters dont always overlap. some one might submit a guide with a chapter titled “visiting the Tate Modern” for London, which wouldnt be relevant to a guide for Rio or Bangkok. so pre defined categories are out.

The best way to do this IMHO would be to provide 10 custom fields, each of which would constitute a chapter. now im wondering if its possible to a) provide a title for each custom chapter (ex: Places to eat in London) and b) if each chapter can have a unique URL to link to? perhaps via an extension?

or, should i allow authors to create their own chapters?

what would be the best way to organise this kind of content?
