Hi folks.  Congrats on 1.6.1—I can’t believe HOW MANY new features and how many bugs fixes are in it; color me impressed.

Question: Does the changelog for 1.6.1 cover only changes since 1.6.0 20070918, or does it cover everything since the first release of 1.6?

Includes everything since the initial release of 1.6, including any changes, additions or fixes in the subsequent 1.6 builds.

No kidding! Lots of very useful features here—I’m going to be reconfiguring some code with the new features. Very impressed with so many of the changes. Wow, thank you EllisLab!

I just upgraded from the latest build of 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 and it appears to have gone swimmingly—kudoes to EllisLab for making it so painless. I’m in the process of redoing my site, so no doubt I’ll be delving into the new features as part of that process. Can’t wait.

Especially being able to search in a custom field is a brilliant addition.
    Cheers! 😊

I also want to say “Great job!” on the update.  And while I’m at it, the articles that Lisa has been posting recently have been a real addition to the solid support EE provides.

    Absolute fantastic job.

Thanks for putting in the strict validation for the SCM. I can now go and take out the hacked version of the module that I made and update to this instead.
Not only that but some of the new weblog parameters available look like they will be uber juicy. The author_id for me at the moment is superb as I just hacked a way around that as well!! Time to take out the undo-hack tool!!! 😊

Thanks for such a great update.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Two lines didn’t seem to warrant a big ole fanfare, so we just rolled it into the download early this morning.

So that’s why my RSS feed wasn’t working… thanks for the fix!

To follow e-man’s comment, big congratulations and thanks for the powerful and vital new “search:” parameter in the weblog:entries tag.
