    Hey all,

My new MBP wobbles when the screen is open. With the screen in the upright position there is a 0.75mm-1.0mm gap between the front right rubber foot and the desk.

Its not a huge problem I suppose; I just want to know if I am the only one with this issue or if I should contact Apple.

    Thanks

just shave the rubber foot down so the computer sits sits flush.

I was just going to add larger feet anyways.. I just wanted to know if this issue was unique or not.

I think it needs that space for cooling so a bigger space would be better than a smaller space.

I used to have one and it did *not* wobble. Hopefully you can fix yours.

I read about other people having this, it’s due to a warping / buckling in the chassis, that is why it is uneven. If it was me i would take it back.

I’m not sure if apple would replace it though, they may not see it as a defect.

    Good Luck!

As an ex-apple person, Go to genius bar or service provider if your under warranty.

Macbook Pro’s and Powerbooks are known to wharp especially on the top case (thats the one with the screen).

Has anyone noticed discolorisation on there mine looks like its had the silver sanded off in pats and only 3 months old!
