Greetings, kuproverto, Welcome to our community!
It would be much better if you could outline a list of features you want for your website. We would then be able to let you know how ExpressionEngine can work for your specific project.
I look forward to hearing more details from you!

Thanks for the reply.
Basically, the site will be a comparison site so the features I require are all to do with returning data from several db tables.
In the past, when I’ve created database driven sites, I’ve used Dreamweaver. As you probably know, in this application dynamic elements can be placed on the page exactly where they are needed. How does the process of building custom results pages work in EE? I know there is no WYSIWYG editor so I’m presuming any kind of custom coding has to be done by hand then pasted into the template?
If weblogs are data sets, could I create several weblogs then run a query to extract data from them and display those results on the same page?
Can I create several different forms for the site visitors to complete and have the submitted data stored in different tables in the db? I’d also like a check box which, if checked, adds the name and email address of each person who completes any of the forms to a mailing list db table.
Do you know of any shopping comparison type sites that have been created using EE?
