Hello everyone
I’m running 1.5.2 and yesterday I updated my php5 and mysql and apache2 to the most recent versions as of 19-10-2007 with macports.
The site still runs fine but when I try to login to the system folder I put my details in, press login and the URL get’s populated with a cookie, or sessionID, but I don’t leave that page.
If I put an incorrect username password pair it gives me the correct error.
I saw this thread, http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/60802/
So I removed all the cached folders from the db_cache folder, restarted apache, no joy.
I removed all my cookies form safari 2.0.4 and removed all references to the server from my keychain access. Restarted apache and my browser, still happening.
I then went into the config.php and changed the cookie domain to my localservers name and restarted apache.
That did the trick.
So I have no problem any more, but I may as well post this as someone else might suffer from the same levels of stupidity as myself and this might help them.
Hope so anyway
😊
