Making all of the modules that are not included with Core available for download on an individual basis?

Just curious if this has ever been brought up? Seems like maybe selling them for $15 or $20 a piece would be nice? That way if there was just one extra module needed (maybe the photo gallery?) a person could basically set up the site they needed for $20 bucks rather than buying the Personal License which potentially could be overkill for their project?

I realize the personal license isn’t much to spend for a FAR superior product to anything else out there, I was just curious.

Please don’t “bump” posts that aren’t getting responses. Thanks 😊

Yes, we’ve thought about it. No we’re not going to do it for reasons I really don’t want to get into on a public forum. Let’s just say it doesn’t fit our business model and we enjoy being able to pay our techs almost as much as they enjoy getting paid.

Hi Leslie. What is the standard procedure on this then? I’ve never posted here without a response from someone, so I could only assume that I wasn’t getting a response because the post had fell down to the second or third page. Would you rather me post my question again in a new post (I doubt it) or just sit and wait for someone to find the post on the third page?.

Fair enough. Just seemed to me like an easy way to bring in a little more. I’m sure there are people out there using Core (with the limitations) and maybe only want the ability to use the forum with it and don’t need the other modules, but because they don’t want to buy a personal or commercial license (not saying they are priced to high…the price is great as far as I’m concerned) so it would be an easy way to allow these people to use core get the functionality they need from their site.

I’d rather you let the post die if its getting no responses, unless its a technical support issue, which this is not. If there is no interest in a topic, then bumping it just drives down posts that are getting legit responses. We’re not going to be strict about it or anything, I just find it a bit awkward to bump posts with lots of conversation in favor of one with zero, that’s all.
