    Hi Everyone :D

I’m transferring one of my EE websites over from one webhost to another…
I know I need to backup the database and templates…. is there anything else I should know… some sort of checklist for backing up things?

Speaking of which, what’s the easiest way to back up the Member Templates?
And, will the backups work fine if I save the backups from the 1.5.2 version of EE, and reload them onto the new server, which I will have 1.6.0 installed?

Also, what about 3rd party modules and plugins data and configurations?
And the Simple Commerce as well?

    Thanks 😊

No problem. Yeah I couldn’t find it either when I changed hosts. I was really nervous at first but it’s really not that bad.

That’s a handy checklist and just in time, I’m moving 3 sites this week!

I’ve moved servers a couple of times, and one thing I’ve run into, is I couldn’t upload my database using PHPMyAdmin, because it was too big, and the file transfer timed out.  I was able to fix it using a utility called bigdump.php. It’s easy to use and works very well.
