I think I’ve cracked the code here:
Non-Disclosure Form-SF312
It takes alot of reading between the lines though.
I got this outta M.boyink “I know which side my bread is buttered on…wink”

Agh - you’re as bad as the newspapers… :gulp:
The full quote was:
I know nothing more about the status of EE2 than you do…
And if I did…I know which side my bread is buttered on…wink

Les should be involved in politics: this guy has a lot to say and we fans at the end of a long long long speech think he’s a good guy, very reliable and convincing although we can’t remember his program. But he is so good, we all love him. 😉

[taps foot] waiting…
[meanwhile procrastinating]
😉
Send it down the wire boys and girls, a little ol’ rumor never hurt nobody, as long as it’s sort of truthful.

Ahhh, man! But it’s still fun to see you. (waves)
I no longer think I’m EE’s biggest fan. Too many of ‘em out there to be trumped by. 😊
Can’t wait to see what’s boiling over there!

who else wants to throw out some guesses as to what will be announced related ? i have to go with tz on this one, i think it’s e-commerce related. my guess is paul got sick of pulling out his hair trying to figure out all the lunacy that is e-commerce and decided to integrate some existing package. but what the hell do i know? i can tell ya, not much.

magento commerce… integrated to ee… ?..?
pinch.

I don’t think EE likes the ‘half baked’ program Magento, it has to take a long way to be a good program.. i like magento, but they have a lot to do the coming months. I think when EE comes with the e-commerce, we don’t have to add a lot of featurerequest, because it wil have everything in house what we want..

Before the speculation gets out-of-control let me just say upfront its not EE 2.0 or Commerce. If things go as planned (crosses fingers) we’ll be announcing our first 3rd party certified module for EE sometime next week. This is mostly news for add-on developers because, assuming this first test goes well, it will open more business opportunities for the growing number of people making their living developing for EE.
As far as Magento goes, I certainly wouldn’t call it “half baked” but we certainly would not officially offer integration with any type of service or application that is not 100% out of beta and then some.

Now you went and spoiled all the fun :(
Oh well, I hope the add-on is kick-butt-ish!!
I had ideas about Magento, but realize it’s a bit far from being integrated officially or un-officially, they haven’t gave it a thumbs up for production stores.
EE 2.0 would be a bit of a jump from 1.6, we’ld all settle for 1.7 😉 ! hee hee hee

Yeah, I know I spoiled it a bit but this is a difficult thing to balance. We’re not big on teasing or hyping. A little fun is good though.

Is Magento a program created by EllisLab for its new ecommerce module?

Magento Commerce is an open source commerce solution. The Magento website is powered by ExpressionEngine but EllisLab is not affiliated with them.
