TinyMCE Editor Question

I’m sorry if this is not the proper forum for this question, but here goes. Someone helped me install an updated version of TinyMCE with a media pack that helped the user of the EE site to embed video, however, now they appear to have “lost” some of the TinyMCE buttons, specifically they seem to be missing the justification buttons - left, center, right - I was wondering if someone could provide some thoughts on this. I can’t imagine that the newer TinyMCE editor is without those buttons, but I have no idea.

    Thank you,

    Dawn

Looking at the rendered output, can you tell if it’s just the images missing or is it the actual code to insert them?  And I’m going to shift this one over to ‘How to’, where it’s a bit better fit.

Sounds like your configuration file was changed somehow.
All the settings for Tiny can be found on their Wiki. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry, I am the poor lowly web designer (who doesn’t code) that did the site about a year ago and when they have issues they email me. I don’t even know what file you would edit, assuming I can figure out what the proper setting is supposed to be. Can anyone provide a little more explanation.

    Thank you very much.

I assume you’re using the TinyMCE EE extension, the settings is just a text file which you can find here:
CP Home ›  Admin ›  Utilities ›  Extensions Manager ›  Tiny MCE Extension for EE

You’ll find a textarea there called Tiny MCE Configuration, check to see if any of these: “outdent, indent,hr,justifyleft, justifycenter, justifyright, justifyfull” are there.

I’m sorry, I’m just now looking into this - is this what you’re referring to:

      +“p[align<center?justify?left?right|class|dir<ltr?rtl|id|lang|onclick”

This is just one of many lines and so I’m not even sure if this is what you were talking about.

    Thank you.

I’m including a screenshot as I’m not quite sure what you mean. It should look like this:

Mine doesn’t seem to look like yours. I had that other pasted line in the previous post that mentioned the justification, but it was further down in the settings and I know what the difference is with regard to placement of the information within the settings or perhaps it had nothing to do with the justification we’re talking about.

    Thank you,
    Dawn
