    Anyone know of some background-position bugs in Safari, more specifically on the iPhone?

    This is a long shot if anyone can help, but if you view http://www.adetskas.net/ on the desktop version of Safari, my site looks fine. When viewed on the iPhone the background position is incorrect.

    I have the background set to background-position: 0% 0%; but iPhone Safari appears to be giving it a negative value for its horizontal axis. This causes my background to be oriented off the left side of the screen by about 300 or so pixels.

    Have you tried keywords or px values instead of percentages?

    Yes, i’ve tried all the combos. I’ve heard Safari has some bugs related to backround-position but I haven’t been able to find this particular issue.

    One more suggestion: are you using shorthand notation?
    Maybe you should try spell it out instead of shorthand:

    backround-image: url();
    background-repeat:  ;
    background-position: ;
    background-color: ;
    etc….

    yep, I tried that too 😊
    I also tried orienting it on the right as opposed to the left and it appears to do the same thing on that side too.

    Hmm, weird… 😊
    Have a look at these 2 articles maybe you can feed the iPhone an alternate stylesheet:

    Please do! I read these 2 quickly and it seems doable to send the iPhone an alternate stylesheet.
