What is the best way, using 1.6, to transfer an ExpressionEngine website being built on a local network server to a live server when finished?

Yikes, no one has any tips on this? I’m just curious how other people do it with the least work possible.

I’ve been looking for a similar discussion without much luck! (and your title is so wonderfully descriptive!)

I’m using an ftp dev environment on one project right now, just working right off the live server, but we would rather work locally first, but lately since 1.6, a lot of settings are in the database and for some reason the past few sites I’ve tried to transfer over have not worked at all.. but I guess I’ll try it again and be a bit more thorough!
