    Hey there,

I’m approaching multiple sites the old fashioned way (so I don’t have to ask my client for another $200 for the Multiple Site Manager).

I think I’m getting the gist of this approach, although my CSS is not rendering on my duplicate site.

Here’s the path in my main site:
    http://subdomain.domain.net/?css=site_elements/css_basic

Here’s the path in my duplicate site:
    http://www.domain.net/?css=dup_site_elements/css_basic

I have a template group named “dup_site_elements” ... so I’m wondering why EE can’t seem to find that template?

    Thanks for your help!

Anyone? Should I have posted this in “how to” or technical help instead of the CSS forums?

I think the reason you’re not getting responses is really a lack of information. If you can post the link to the templates that are unable to find your CSS, that would help a great deal.  In the meantime, you might check that the templates are set as CSS Stylesheets.

This is the appropriate forum, though. =)

The site index page doesn’t show the css, for example: www.easytheretiger.net/

I double checked that my css templates are set up as “CSS Stylesheet” for the type, and they are.

It works for my main site, from which this duplicate site is based: mcc.easytheretiger.net/.

My approach for the duplicate site was to duplicate the template groups. I just prefixed them with “mv_” for this second site. They are very similar, but the design/css/navigation will vary slightly.

    Thanks for your help!

Have you tried viewing source and viewing the CSS directly? You’re linking to this:

    http://www.easytheretiget.net/?css=mv_site_elements/css_basic

which is not a domain - I suspect you wanted easytheretiger - not tiget? =)

😝 OMG. I assumed it was my lack of EE knowledge and not a simple typo. What an embarrassing oversight!

    Thanks Lisa!

No worries, sometimes it is a huge help to have someone that hasn’t been trying to figure it out for 2 days. =)
