The generally recommended way of handling events in EE involves setting the event date as the entry date and then using the start_on parameter to show entries in the future.
I’m trying to figure out how to search events. Since the events don’t close or expire, search results wouldn’t show only future entries. Anyone solve this problem?
I’m thinking about something like a script that runs on the events weblog every night and changes the status of past events.
