Buyer beware… Overnight Prints dot com ( wont even give them the benefit of a link here) is now on my poopoo list…

If you need a customer retention department something might be wrong….

Thanks for sharing, I’m removing them from my bookmarks. Stories like this are why I use local printers. The allure of online printers is soooo strong but I’ve found it’s too risky. I just got 500 bum business cards using an online printer. Now, I realize this is my fault because I could have gone local for a little bit more and been able to see a proof, talk to the printer in person and so forth. Lesson learned :\

In all fairness I feel the need to say that Overnight Prints has said that if I return the cards to them that I can get a full refund. This does not change the fact that the cards were grossly off color. And it also does not change the fact that I feel their return process is extremely drawn out and difficult.

So. Having said all that I also wanted to plug another company. I usually use 48 Hour Prints. They have the same turn around time as overnight prints (actually they are usually faster) and everything about them is better. The packaging that they put the materials into the print quality and their website are all infinitely easier to use and better. So if you are looking for an online printer they would be the one I would suggest.

I have moved away from using local printers cause in my area they tend to be very expensive and their turn around is usually 2-3 times longer but YMMV. It might be different in your area. There is one that I know I can trust. They have always done me right with turn around time. but their prices are a little bit more. I just find it easier once you are in the groove to send files to a place like 48 hour print.

    Anyway, glad it helped.
