Would running three sites using the Multiple Site Manager use less memory than running the same three sites on three separate installations of ExpressionEngine?

Aside from the convenience and flexibility of being able to share assets between sites, are there any resource utilization benefits?

    Thanks,
    PJ

Really, there’s not going to be much difference.  You’ll have less mysql databases, and a little bit less duplication of effort, but if your decision process turns solely on resource utilization, I’d say it really doesn’t matter.  The convenience and flexibility reasons are far more important, in my opinion (as well as the license restrictions).
