I don’t know about the rest of you guys (and gals) but I’m so ready for Halo 3 to finally get here!! With such features as recording/sharing your sweet moves and kills to making your maps to 4 player campaign via xbox live. I’m pretty stoked! It also looks like there are some different types of Master Chiefs.

Hopefully they’ll bring back the horizontal split screen for wide screen tv’s. I can’t stand vertical split screens.

Did anyone from this forum participate in the online beta? I know someone who did and they said that it was awesome. Now if they can keep the mod-ers from spoiling our fun should be a fun week next week!

I wonder what time I should be at walmart to make sure I can get a copy?

Do you EllisLab folks play? That would be fun to match up with you guys or hold our own custom games!

I first need to get an Xbox 360. I almost bought the Halo 3 Special Edition but it seems to be missing something…like the game. 😊

Both the wife and I play and I’d certainly be for setting up a community halo 3 night or something.

Unfortunately my xbox360 is in for repairs and I won’t get it back until mid-October.

    My wife plays too! 😊

That sounds like a lot of fun! Oh the trash talk that would ensue.

Mid-October! Ugh! That stinks! What happened?

Started freezing randomly. My guess is that it was overheating. The timing sucks but I’m a patient guy.

Oh no, my x360 is freezing more often as well. I really hope my xbox won’t have to go to repair. I know their service is ok, but I just hate it to send something to repair. Oh well..

    Here’s my gamelist:
    - Colin McRae Dirt
    - Gears of War
    - Lost Planet
    - Quake 4
    - Crackdown
    - Project Gotham Racing 3

But I must say that I haven’t played more than five minutes with PGR3 and Q4 (*need to play more and work less*).

But if you want to race, or play some other games, here’s my live-tag: “Soul of Wax”.
Oh and I really have to renew my subscription to Live. Halo 3 is almost here so that would be a perfect time to do that as well.

By the way, my girlfriend is addicted to Catan. She keep asking questions when there will be an expansion set. Any one know?

    That really isn’t fair!!

I love the Halo games but I use Macs and so have to wait for it to be released on there before being able to play. Halo 2 is just awesome!!
Would love to get in on the action with everybody here though at some point, that would be great!!

Ronny I see from your list that you mentioned Colin Mcrae. I think it’s a real shame about what has happened to Colin as he had a deep respect for the machine he was flying.

My wife and I actually saw him over here in England at an airport where we were flying from (I have my PPL [flying as a hobby] my wife just got her CPL!) with the Squirrel that he unfortunately lost his life in. A fantastic man with a very big following. Will be sorely missed.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Yeah I really was shocked by the news. You just don’t expect news like that from a guy that was so much in to sports and must have had an extreme fast response. And then those kids. Unbelievable.. Really lost for words. Especially in English 😉
I just got hooked to the game a couple of weeks ago and it’s very weird to hear Colin’s voice when I start the game.

My brothers 360 started over-heating a while back and he bought an accessory to keep it cool. Can’t remember what’s it was called tho. I don’t think he’s had any problems since.

Gears of War is fun during campaign mode but the online play isn’t anywhere near Halo 2. Currently I’m borrowing Command & Conquer 3 for the Xbox 360 from my brother. It really is a sweet game. Coming from the computer version of being used to a mouse and keyboard it takes some getting used to but they did a great job of making it work the the 360 controllers.

An Xbox 360 requires a TV, right?  Phooey…should probably get on that.

No it doesn’t. You can hook up via VGA or HDMI (which some monitors support). Hooking up to an older monitor can be somewhat chancy though. It helps of the native resolution of the monitor matches the native resolutions supported by the xbox 360… the exact specifications I don’t remember though.

The only thing I have is a four or so year old 20” flat panel that has Apple’s connector on it, which I have connected to my iMac.  But, you know, if anyone wants to buy me a 360 and a copy of Halo 3, I am more than willing to kick your ass at it.

Ha! When ever you get yours, bring it on! I’ll be waiting.
