So as I have mentioned before I am Canadian. When myself or someone I know heads down south we get them to bring back cereal. You see we don’t get some of the American cereals (Cookie Crisp, Trix etc… ) and most importantly Rice Krispie Treats. We used to get Rice Kripie Treats, but for 8+ years now we have not.

So I got my Dad to bring us back 2 boxes of rice krispie treats and for a change I wanted some Flintstone’s Fruity Pebbles. So all day I have been anticipating those colorful little football shaped Pebbles… I open the box and….

BAH! They are not pebbles they are Flakes! Like Special K flakes….

    When did they become flakes?

No way… the Fruity Pebbles I get here are just the normal pebbles… maybe it’s some sort of promotion.

Fruity Pebbles are the best cereal ever - the trick is to put barely enough milk to get them all wet - so they don’t get soggy.

Flakes as in physical shape not as in a let down…

They used to be shaped like footballs and now they are a flat flake.

Wow, your US/Canadian cereals sound really exciting. All we get in the UK are the bog standard Kellogs offerings. We’ve got plenty of variations of cocopops/cocorocks/choco crispies etc, but chocolate for breakfast is crap.

I envy you, flakes or pebbles….

They used to be shaped like fat rice krispies, I would say twice the size of an average rice krispie….
