I am new to Blogging and purchased EE today and had it installed on my site. Problem is that I know nothing about customizing a blog or php. I just have a standard template up now at http://www.familyhistory101.com/blog/ . I dont have a whole lot of money ( I saw one service today that started at $1500) but have enough to get done what I think I need done.

All I want is a genealogy/historical look and some basic simple functions add to the the blog. If anyone know someone who would like to freelance this job then let me know.

sgr2000, your best bet is to look around at some free template sites and find one that meets your needs. Then it is a matter of breaking down the template for EE.

There are a number of persons in the Professionals group that might be available to help.

OpenDesigns.org is one place to look.
