    WOW!!  What a company…

I know I’m going to sound like an Apple fanboy, but over the last 10 years of being an Apple consumer, I’ve never been let down.  From great products to incredible Apple Care support (replaced two computers & more for free) to giving ALL early iPhone adopters a gift, I can’t say enough.

Yeah I am a total happy apple fan boy and am not ashamed to admit it. But Apple screwed its loyal customers on this one. The fan boys and girls out there were the ones waiting in line for the iPhone, and basically got to pay $200 for the privilege of beta testing a product that was not ready for market. Now Apple is giving a token of half the money back. Sorry this is a crappy way of treating loyal customers.

Oh, I disagree.  It’s a breakthrough product and ANYONE who purchased it initially knew the risks.  Apple didn’t have to give anything back and they did.  We should be happy with getting $100 credit.

As for “beta testing a product that was not ready for market”... I don’t understand that either considering it’s a better product already compared to the junk we had pre-iPhone.

I had totally forgotten about the Pickle Principal.  😊  I was actually interviewed so to speak by a journalist about my feelings on it.  And truthfully, while I could have used the $200 dollars, I wasn’t upset.  I could have waited, but then I would have been suffering through my dying Treo 650 for two months instead of enjoying my new iPhone.

I completely understand the feeling of “Crap thats a lot of money!” I don’t fully understand the feeling of entitlement.  I didn’t expect the $100 dollar credit, but it was a nice move.
