so i can not access any page but the index page. every time i clikc a link i get something resembling

    http://somesite.org/index.php/site/about/

well my hosting provider apparently does not like those urls and promptly returns a 404 error.

the tech guy told me to create an .htaccess file with the command RewriteEngine on and upload that to my root folder. will i did that but still no luck. anyone have any ideas?

offsprg01, if you’re on a Windows server, you need to add a ? to index.php to work.

Click the link for the KB article in Sue’s response, there’s a Force Query Strings preference, which is explained in that article =)
