I’m working on a new site with ExpressionEngine 1.6.0 (Build 20070726), and I’ve run into a curious problem. I’m in the process of setting up the member profile templates.  However, if I try to pull up one of those templates in my browser, such as the login form, I get a blank screen. No error, just a blank screen. All of the other templates render just fine.

I’ve gone through the “Admin” section of the CP, and I think all of the settings are okay. I’ve FTP’d into the server, and there is indeed a “profile_themes” directory there, and the “profile_theme.php” file is there as well. And I can update the templates via the CP. So all of the pieces appear to be there. But nothing will appear when I try to actually access the member area.

A little more clarification.  Some of the member profile templates do seem to be working somewhat.  For example, I’ll log into the CP with an admin account.  When I attempt to pull up the registration form (http://foo.com/member/register/), I’ll get a message saying that I am already registered and logged in.  But if I try to go to my profile page (http://foo.com/member/profile/), I get a blank screen.

How much memory is allocated to PHP? Blank pages often mean memory errors.

I’ll look into that. Thanks for the suggestion.
