    Hi guys,

    I’d like to know if its possible to convert an audio file (WAV/OGG/WMA) to MP3 using PHP? If yes, has anybody done it? how? :ohh:

    It’s possible if you can install ffmpeg on your server.

    an example of converting a audio file can be found here

    You can convert video too, and do much more. check the ffmpeg site for more information.

    or you could code it your self 😛 i think php has the power to do so…but it will take a long time…And even longer to achieve performance…But it would be a great experience 😊

    Thanks xwero, its working fine… can’t seem to get the dss (digital speech format) to mp3 conversion.
    Dss is a very rare format… does anybody know how it works??

    I will create a little plugin for codeigniter. 😊
