Here’s a fun one:

On one of my weblogs there is a text entry field for a URL. The custom field has no formatting, yet when I call the field in a template it comes out as

<a href="www.domain.com">

<a href="http://www.domain.com">http://www.domain.com</a>

Any idea what I can do about this?

I had the same problem - this is how I fixed it:

Under Weblog Administration › Weblog Management › Edit Preferences, choose “Weblog Posting Preferences” from the menu on the left and turn off “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links?”.

That will change it for the entire blog, though. I’m not sure if there’s a way to do if for just one field.
