I get this error message when I try to visit the forums:

Unable to locate the forum theme folder. When I select templates I get this message “Unable to locate the specified templates”

I think the problem is when I uploaded the theme folders, I didn’t complete the upload thinking I was reloading some of the same files being certain files had the same name in different folders. Will I need to redo the entire upload or just the themes Folder?

I’d just upload the full ‘themes’ folder.  Note- if you modified any of the themes, you’ll need to go back in and do it again.  But if they were already stock themes?  Just upload the whole folder and you should be good.

Thanks Robin, ok here’s my dilemma how do I upload the entire folder oppose to each individual file? I’m sure I have the ability just not the know how. If you wouldn’t mind sharing I’d truly appreciate it.

What I usually do?  Just in case you have something in the old themes folder that you end up needing- I rename the old folder to ‘themes_bk’ and then just upload the whole new ‘themes’ folder.  That way I’ve still got the backup there in case I’d done some additions and forgotten about them.  But it’s fast and easy to just upload the whole new ‘themes’ folder in one go.

Right, the problem I’m having is uploading it in one go. For example I open the Files for the Forum and there is the Forum_Themes Folder. When I go to FTP Manager to upload I select upload-browse, and I’m given the ability to upload each individual file, but not the folder in one shot. So wondering if anyone could assist me in how I can go about uploading the folder at once oppose to each individual file or is that even a possibility?

Huh- well, it would depend on your ftp program, but I’ve never heard of one that won’t allow you to upload an entire folder- and all its contents.  Is this a browser based ftp program?  Or what are you using to ftp your files up?

Ah- you’re using a browser based ftp.  I’d suggest grabbing an ftp program- has to support sftp.  I use CuteFTP pro on enginehosting, and I’ve also used the free Filezilla for windows- if you take a look in EngineHosting’s Kblog, it has a section on ftp.
