Pages Module not responding...

When I click ‘Create a New Page,’ it takes me to a publish form.  I enter some data, click submit, and then… nothing.  When I click back to the Pages module, it says ‘No Pages Currently Exist’ no matter how many times I create entries.  The entries are there—I can edit them, but they’re not displaying on the Pages module page.  That is, I don’t see a list of created ‘pages’ like the screenshot in the docs…

Any ideas? I’ve not tried using the module before so I’m a little stumped. I’m using the first-party plugin with a licensed version of 1.6.

    Thanks!

What build of 1.6 are you running- it will be in the footer.  And if you go to the ‘Modules’ tab- can you access the pages module control panel from there?  That’s where you’re seeing no pages- correct?  How about from the publish screen- do you have a ‘Pages’ tab?

And where are you when you click ‘submit’?  When nothing happens, do you get a blank screen, or does the page reload, or…  Anything at all happen?

    Hi Robin,

I’m running 1.6.0.  As for the modules, yes, I installed it and can access it from the ‘modules’ tab.  I also added it as a top-level tab from anywhere in the admin (see screenshot).

And where are you when you click ‘submit’?  When nothing happens, do you get a blank screen, or does the page reload, or…  Anything at all happen?

When I click submit, it saves the entry as a post - it is accessible from the ‘edit’ tab.  In the second screenshot, you’ll see 5 entries:  the first, default post that EE ships with and 5 others that I created using the ‘Create a New Page’ button in the pages module.  I can see them, I can edit them, but as you can see, the ‘pages’ module page does not list that I’ve created any, unlike the EE docs, which shows a screenshot of all created ‘pages’.

    Thanks!

Have you thought of adding the URI and choosing the template for the page? It’s found under the pages tab in the publish form.

Ah ha!  That was it…thanks, Yvonne. Didn’t catch that new tab there—wonder how I missed that in the docs?

You’re welcome! There are so many features in EE that it is really hard to keep up, I know, believe me.
