I would really like to use Expression Engine as a framework for a site which need amongst most common CMS features; an online booking system (accommodation) and a fully integrated (E-commerce) Shop.
This project will be quite big (equal to a University site) and the above mentioned features are required to be complete. (if that makes sense) Processing of payments and bookings, etc. (no third party sites)

I am sure that it will require some home made plugins but I am interested in perhaps some examples and/or advise of “external” software which might be integrated in the EE-configuration.

    Appreciate your help.

    Hi Wimy,

Have you looked into WebReserv.com (http://www.webreserv.com)? They provide a reservation widget that you can use to take reservations. It can be used for most type of reservations. You might be able to get it integrated with EE.

    Cheers

Thanks for the tip EM. I checked the site but I am more interested in a software package, which neatly fits into the EE configuration and/or a commerce module (with integrated payment facility). Most reservation software developers charge a % of the bookings, which I rather safe and invest in the software and development.

Surely some of our moderators would know examples of sites were EE has been taken outside of the boundaries of her (or his)* capabilities…

    *what is EE’s gender anyway?

    Try “its” 😊

The development team is all male, and the support team is all female. 😊

As far as the product goes, as Ingmar says, there is no gender per se.

That’s where it all went wrong…...

Anyway, no distractions please, we want answers, recommendations and short bread :cheese:
