Black metal, hardcore techno or just that Ludwig van Beethoven-fellah?

I use Slacker.com like it’s going out of style. It’s usually turned to the Hip-Hop/R&B;> Party Hip-Hop/R&B;station, although I have been known to float on over to Today’s Hits, Party Alternative, and Techno.

I love all sorts of music.

Very much of indie music and other not-pop-music.

I am a big techno fan - I specifically like Breakbeat Electronica (Black Sun Empire, Hybrid).

Classic Rock when I feel really good and I am not doing anything intensive.

Sometimes I listen to Middle Eastern music, which is nice when I am doing something relaxing.

    For deep code spelunking:
    Digitally Imported‘s Chillout station.
    Younger Brother
    OTT
    Shpongle
BT (This Binary Universe in particular)
    Yoshida Brothers
    Massive Attack
    Lemon Jelly

But I have 705 artists in my iTunes library across 488 albums, with a range from Delores O’Riordan to System of a Down, so if the occasion suites, moreso with light work, I’ll play whatever.  I have no rap or country except what Weird Al covers, but ever other genre is sufficiently available.

I’m with ya on DI.FM Derek, awesome station. Pandora.com is something I use regularly for my music; I work for an entertainment venue also, so we have an entire server dedicated to music - which is always fun to load a few albums into a playlist (too many to load entirely!).

It’s all about R’n'B and Soul. John Legend always keeps me calm when a project coughs up errors.

    Jazz all the way

Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Joe Sample, Jef Neve, Herbie Hancock… (yup, I’m a pianist 😊)

    For coding:
Classical, Chillout, Bossa or Piano Jazz

I’m a great death / thrash metal fan but in a problematic code this sound will make me destroy my PC! 😊

I leave porn on in the background.  Turn up the volume real loud and it’s like a symphony.

Apart from my Mrs telling me she saw a fat squirrel fall out of our tree today, that is the funniest thing i’ve read / heard today.
