Hi,  I’m a current EE user and enthusiast who has a licensing question:

My client wants to have a website that promotes a Women’s Wellness Center and be an online resource for people who don’t seek physical help.

I need to know if this qualifies for a personal or commercial license.  Here is some information about the website.

    Mission Statement Excerpt:

At the Comadres Wellness Center is a sacred space where different practitioners can share their gifts and women can come and work towards creating balance in their lives.

Information about these services would be on the site.  The website would not commercially sell anything to the end user.

Seminars on leadership and personal development,
Workshops on self-care, meditation, money and time management,
Continuing Education Units for licensed therapist,
    Talks for mothers and parents,
    Women’s movie nights,
    Healthy touch massage,
    Counseling,
    Hypnotherapy,
    Acupuncture

Is this a non-profit organization? In the legal sense that is?

I’m not quite sure, I think it is for profit.  But what can I tell them in either case? -Appreciate the help!

A quote from Lesley a short time ago

Two simple questions can help you determine what type of license you need.

    1. Is the primary purpose of the site to make money?

    2. Is the purpose of the site to support a legal business or professional service in any way?

If you answer yes to either of the above then you need a Commercial license.

In other words, a company that uses EE as a brochure site but is neither selling a product or a service on the site still needs a Commercial license because they are using it to support their business.

    If it’s a non-profit, you can use the personal license…saves a few bucks…
“Personal License may use the Software ONLY on a website engaging in personal, non-commercial, or non-profit activities”
