Event Start and End Dates

I am trying to use EE for populating events listings where the listing would be generated using queries of the EE DB by date (and other ) parameters.

What I need is a means to input event start and end dates and would like to use the publish / edit panel to to so. In addtion to the Entry Date, Expiration Date, Comment Expiration Date as seen in the DATE tab I would like to have two more Event Start and Event End dates. Additionally being able to set Event Start Time and Event End Time would be great as well.

I know I can use special field to do this but would rather use the Date tab to do so, a usability issue.

Any ideas or leads to solution would be great.

    Thanks

Can’t you just use the Entry Date for the start date and the Expiration Date for the end date? I think that’s what most people do.

I was thinking of that and may go that route if nothing else pops up on the radar.

I will go with this if I can change naming of the calendars a bit thusly…

Other wise I think my users will be confused.

I would need to do this for both Edit and Publish views.
