Just letting out a ball of excitement!

For my day job, I work at a Car Dealership, which I am currently designing them a website… and I’ve got them officially now lined up on Expression Engine and even better… Engine Hosting!! The sweetest thing is, my full time job will be using Expression Engine all day… very exciting!!

I know it sounds rediculous, but I’m really pumped!
I’ve used Expression Engine for several websites (and love it!), and I hope it gets me through this one, requiring it holds new and used vehicle inventories, etc.

Hurry up guys! Set up my website account!! 😛

I work in EE all day (except for one darned ZenCart job I need to get off my plate…). It’s very nice dealing with EE, and trolling the forums, and messing with plugins, etc. You don’t sound ridiculous - you sound like a lot of people around here, me included! Congrats to you!

    Congrats!

Do fellow EE users get discounts on cars?

If so, what do you sell? :zip:

    Haha!

I could probably get you a deal…. but you’d have to come to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada 😉

Ahh the car business. I worked in that industry for 12 years. I left a great job with a big 20 group dealer (i was general sales manager) to do a big rollout for Xerox in the IT bus. I was looking for a career path change. The car business paid great money but the hours kill marriages and social lives.

So now I’m a project manager and i’m happy, but I do miss the atmosphere at the dealer.

You’rea lucky guy! enjoy your new position!

Yeah, it’s long hours…. for some (8 hours a day monday to friday for me though) 😛

    Atmosphere? Awesome!!

    Thanks 😉

I feel exactly the same and in fact I have scored 4 new websites this month, 2 of them will be using Expression Engine so hopefully I can become a Pro member once I have finished a few.

There is a lot to learn (how I wish I could spend a week at EllisLab for hands on mentoring!) but it’s a fun (and sometimes frustrating) process and best of all, the client gets the bill!
