You’re right about anything newer than the Front page being replaced by it. All the entries that come after the date of the front page are replacing the front page!
Strange thaat this has just started though??

Goto CP Home › Admin › Weblog Administration › Category Management
Let’s see if the number of the category labeled “Front Page” is 8.

Hi, again. I had to go to sleep and I guess you’re probably heading that way now too, hope you’ve had a good day out there?
The ID number beside Front page is 9, Contact us is 8, Feathers in our Cap is 7, Embryos is 6, What we Do is 5 and The Chicks is 4.

Well, then the 8 might remain a mystery 😉
Anyway. If you change in that template
{exp:weblog:entries weblog="flickchicks" limit="1" show="8"}into
{exp:weblog:entries weblog="flickchicks" limit="1" entry_id="33"}that page will always display the frontpage-entry and will not be replaced by other entries anymore.
That should fix it.
And yes, now I’m heading for some sleep 😉
