Folks, this is a weird one. Would someone be so kind as to point their browser to:

    http://www.gregfuller.com/themes/site_themes/gregfuller/glf_maintopper.jpg

and let me know if the image shows up in Firefox.

I.E displays it for me, but Firefox gives me a “file not found” error.

Funny thing is, the following image in the same directory shows up in both browsers:

    http://www.gregfuller.com/themes/site_themes/gregfuller/glf_sidetopper.jpg

The result is that if I go to http://gregfuller.com with firefox, my “banner” does not display.

I get the same behavior on localhost.  But if I use the file explorer locally, right click and open in firefox, then firefox displays it.  I tried rebooting thinking my system may have become unstable - same problem still.

Like I.E., Opera shows the image.

If this puzzle is solvled, then I can get on with trying to get MSM to work 😊

    Thanks.

The above problem is on Firefox 2.0.0.4.  I just tried it on 1.5.0.12 on another computer and it works O.K.

GregF, the link comes up for me just fine in Windows Vista Firefox 2.0.0.4.

Thanks Sue.  After reading your post I re-installed Firefox, which took me back down to 2.0.  This did not fix it for me. I’m on Windows XP.

It has to be something on your end, even on XP with Firefox 2.0.0.4 I still see the image. NOTE: I’m not a logged on user, but I doubt that is your problem.

Thanks Sue.  I’ll try uninstalling and reinstalling.  And if that doesn’t work, I’ll ignore the problem.  It’s good to know that my site doesn’t look “bannerless” to others.

    I also see the banner.
Maybe some third-party ad-blocking software on your PC interfering here?
